A woman like you

Updated: Aug 2, 2018

Aren’t women amazing? Aren’t YOU amazing?

Wherever you are right now, know that you are loved. You might not realize it because you are too busy looking after someone else; someone who may be young or old, kind or angry, healthy or sick.

No matter what you think, someone out there loves you dearly.

Have you ever witnessed a mother’s unconditional love for her child? Some of us might be lucky to have a loving sister whose giggles fill up the room with beautiful energy whenever she hears our deepest secrets. Most of us are blessed with a wonderful girlfriend, who can feel how we feel, even when miles apart.

We all have one thing in common. We are not alone. Each time a woman stands for herself, she stands up for all women. So, get out there and be proud of who you are and show the world what you are made of.

I dedicate this post to all women who think they are not good enough and yet, keep rising.

Women who have carried lives despite their fears.

Those who have given birth despite the pain.

Those who can't have children.

Those who don't want children.

Those who have adopted a child and offered them their heart.

Mothers who have lost a child and are still here, despite the unthinkable agony.

Those who are exhausted juggling different tasks, yet always have energy to look after others’ needs.

Mothers of young children who have locked themselves in the bathroom to cry because they think they can’t do it anymore.

Those who never sit down at the dinner table until everyone else is fed.

Those who got into a room to get something and forgot what they were looking for.

Women who desperately try to fit into an old pair of jeans despite the years’ gone passed.

Women who don’t feel like getting out of bed because they can’t face the outside world anymore.

Women who go through menopause, reluctantly accepting the side effects.

Women who are sick and yet, don’t complain.

Women who are battling cancer and other illnesses. Those who have survived and equally so, those who have passed.

Those who have lost someone.

Women who have had the courage to walk away from abusive relationships.

Those who stand up for themselves in male dominated industries and cultures.

Women who lead a country while enforcing equal rights.

Women who make a difference in my life, your lives and the world.

Know that you are enough
Know that you are valued
Know that you are loved

Whenever you are upset with yourself, remember that you are not alone.

Whenever things are getting too hard, believe that you can, and you will.

Embrace the struggle and let it make you this amazing human that you are. It lasts forever.

Remember that you are incredible and incredibly strong.

And finally, remember, the most beautiful thing a woman can wear is confidence.
